I'm Sarah, a certified Holistic Sleep Coach. I trained with the Holistic Sleep Coaching Program and am certified at OCN level 6. My interest in sleep began when I struggled with my own daughter's sleep and decided to work with a sleep consultant hoping that they would help me to “fix” her sleep. I was told that I needed to sleep train her and for me personally this was the wrong decision. I could not bear to hear her cry and I found that my own anxiety around her sleep went through the roof.

I quickly realised that sleep training was not right for our family and started to look into alternative ways to improve her sleep that did not involve leaving her on her own to cry. I discovered that there are many ways to improve sleep that are responsive and don't involve tears and I felt so strongly about not wanting other families to go through what I had that I decided to train and become a sleep consultant myself.

I am passionate about helping families understand normal infant sleep and working with them to optimise sleep for their family in a truly gentle and respectful way. Every child is unique which is why it is so important to understand their particular situation before giving support, there is no one size fits all solution when it comes to sleep! I will always create a plan bespoke to your individual sleep situation and will only ever make suggestions that you are totally comfortable with. Most importantly, as parents we are always the experts on our own children so my aim is to give you the confidence and tools to trust your instincts and do what you feel is best for your child.

Thank you so much for your support, I was really struggling to cope and couldn’t see how I was going to improve our situation. The change since we started working with you has been amazing and everything you have suggested has been gentle, responsive and has allowed us to go at our own pace which was very important to me. Wish I had found you sooner!

I could not recommend Sarah enough. Her gentle evidence based approach really helped me to listen to my own mothering instincts and do what was right for us as a family rather than worrying what other people were telling me. My 12 month old had co-slept since birth and had only ever been fed to sleep and I knew I wanted to make a change but felt overwhelmed about how to do this. Since working with Sarah we have been able to move my little one to a floor bed and she is no longer fed to sleep at bedtime and is sleeping for longer stretches overnight which has made a huge difference to the whole family. Sarah was always on hand to provide support when we were unsure or if things weren’t going as expected and always gave us plenty of options and allowed us to decide what would work best for our little girl.
